Wear a costume, get some friends, be a walking float, be a bike float or line the streets to catch some beads, Mister, then be entertained and dance the night away!
BE IN THE PARADE with All The Saints' Theater Company and the PLF Pirate ship! Create a walking or bicycle group, come up with (family-friendly and weather-warm) costumes, then email party@mardigrasrva.com to receive the sign-up form. Family-friendly so dress appropriately and for the weather whatever it might be. Bring instruments, noisemakers and lights, too. Gathering is at 5:15pm in the parking lot by Dogtown Dance Theatre on the corner of 15th and Bainbridge, 23224. Parade hits the streets at 5:30.
Parade Route: Leaves from 15th St. and Bainbridge St. at 5:30pm going west on 15th to Porter St. Right turn on Porter heading north to 10th St. Right turn on 10th St heading east to Bainbridge. Right turn on Bainbridge heading south back to 15th St where it began.
ENJOY PERFORMANCES at 7:00pm inside Dogtown Dance Theater. Performers include Host of Sparrows Aerial Dance, RVA HoOp LOvers, Khalima, Deanna Danger, Claves Unidos Community Class, Boom Boom Basics Burlesque, Illumination Dance Studio Staff and Students, Margot MacDonald, Stavna Dance Studio, Maharal, Scarlet Starlet, Jebidiah Stone, Melody Magpie, Sideshow by Buster, Deanna DeMonch of DeMonch Conture & Models, PyroBubble, Flux Fire, and Jonathan Austin. Just buy a $10 ticket online at brownpapertickets or $10 at the door. Dancing throughout with music by Rattlemouth and No BS BRASS BAND.
