Float Registration Form

Thanks so much for being part of Mardi Gras RVA! Please download the pdf Float Registration form. Fill it out, then email it to dogtown@mardigrasrva.com  Bring payment (check made out to Dogtown Dance Theatre) with you to the parade Saturday Feb 14 or Tuesday Feb 17.

Saturday's parade will have automobiles and it will have pedestrians walking and dancing. It will also have the crowd joining in the parade. It is not just a stand-by-the-sides-and-watch parade. Spectators are encouraged to join the parade. That means, as an automobile driver, KEEP YOUR EYES OUT FOR PEOPLE! Kids, children, bead tossers, leavers, joiners and maybe pets, too. We want to have fun and be safe. Tuesday's parade is non-motorized so floats can be pulled my bicycles, mules, goats, rollerbladers... just no motors as in the traditional New Orleans Mardi Gras parades.

Remember, show up early! Get to Dogtown, 109 W 15th St, 23224, by 2:15p on Saturday, 5:15p on Tuesday, so we can get everyone lined up. We'll have food trucks in case you are hungry before the parade begins.

Beads and/or throws are a central part of Mardi Gras parades. Be creative, biodegradable & kind to the environment if possible.

And again, Thank You for helping make Mardi Gras RVA! such a fun event and in the process, supporting the arts through Dogtown Dance Theatre.
